Michael B. Jordan is sexy as hell right? Of course he is. When I ask who a person’s celebrity crush is, more often than not the response is either Michael B. Jordan, Channing Tatum, John Legend or someone similar. Occasionally, I get rappers such as The Game from those who prefer a guy with a little more edge. The real question is what does your celebrity crush say about you and your expectations for your real life lover?
So let start with one basic question: what draws you to your crush? Maybe it’s that perfectly sculpted body, well groomed facial hair or the ideas of being with them sexually. These ideas and attractions are perfectly fine while contained within the hollow walls of your thoughts, however, they can prove to be extremely shallow when you require or expect your “dating pool” to measure up to the IDEA of your celebrity crush. Can you be anymore superficial and vain?
When you select your potential partner based completely on his/her physical attributes (because he/she might look little like your crush), you are just asking for a 6-month or shorter relationship. Here is some food for thought; use your celebrity crush for nothing more than a general baseline to determine what physical attributes you are attracted to; after all you don’t personally know what it’s like to experience these celebs on a daily basis. Secondly, fully understand that the public image displayed by most celebrities, have been crafted by some talented group of publicist and/or glam team (IT’S NOT REAL). In fact, buying into the image the media displays of your celebrity crush is no smarter than believing the individual who is cat-fishing on social media or the guy/girl that shows up to the first date and pretends to be something greater than what they actually are. Think about it… Happy dating!
